Katherine Mayne Wheeler (Kat to her friends) is a wife and mom living in the outskirts of the Twin Cities. Originally from Iowa, she lived and worked in Washington, D.C., as a Congressional legislative staffer for nearly a decade. She moved back to the area after meeting and marrying her husband, who is originally from the area.

When she’s not busy chasing after her two-kids-three-and-under or preparing for the arrival of Baby Number Three, Kat may be found procrastinating the laundry with a number of various interests: trying to read her Bible daily, baking, genealogy, playing Scottish and Irish fiddle, reading about American history, and sometimes (though she’s trying to kick the habit) dabbling in her old political junkie ways.
